Numerical investigations on different tangential arrangements of burners for a 600 MW utility boiler
Wall-tangentially-fired boilers (WTFBs), in which the burners are arranged on the furnace walls, are believed to be able to solve the above-mentioned issues. In this work, the hydrodynamic and combustion characteristics of pulverized coal in a 600 MW utility boiler with different tangential burner arrangement schemes are numerically investigated by the commercial software, Fluent.
